Your specific tasks include:LEGO® Education offers hands-on, playful STEAM learning experiences based on the LEGO® system of bricks, hardware, software and content for students and their teachers in early learning, primary, and secondary education as well as through after-school programs and competitions. These solutions create an environment for active, collaborative learning where students build skills for their future, a lifelong love for learning and confidence in their ability to learn and solve problems, setting them up for lifelong success.
As the Head of Communications, you will:
•Create and implement global LEGO Education communications and advocacy strategy that covers PR, Social Media, advocacy programs and community.
•Lead a team of communications and advocacy experts to execute the global LEGO Education communications strategy
•Drive synergy and collaboration across all the different LEGO entities for maximum business impact
•Help grow the business in core markets with focused and differentiated outreach tactics
Challenges and OpportunitiesThe Brand, Insights and Communications team within LEGO Education is responsible for setting the overall global marketing strategy and key execution tactics to support the growth objectives of the business. Within the organization , the role of the Head of Communications is critical in leading a small team in creating and executing a integrated PR, Social media and community outreach strategy that builds the LEGO Education brand in core markets. The role also works across the LEGO groups in building the platform & presence of LEGO and LEGO Education through executive leadership and their speaking engagement.
Do you have what it takes?•Masters Degree in Marketing or Bachelor’s plus equivalent work experience- with a focus on Communications
•10+ years in marketing communications, education or technology industry a plus
•5+ years experience across varied marketing channels as well as content marketing approaches
•Analytical and insight driven
•Knowledge and experience of the education industry
•5+ years leading teams
•Global experience with core expertise of US and/or China markets
•Seasoned communicator at all levels, great collaborator with ability to work across different cultures
•25-40% travel required
