This was my first ever kit that I had been bought since I was a little girl. I’m a massive Harry Potter fan, so was itching to get started on Hedwig on Christmas Morning. Things were going well until I reached the end of bag 3 and found pieces missing, and then began bag 4 and experienced missing parts from that bag too. So I am unable to complete my build. The tail feather on the right hand side can not be connected, nor can the feathers on the wing on the right hand side. I have tried to order the missing pieces, only to have my order cancelled as it didn’t pass the verification process, and then some of the vital parts I need are out of stock. I am so unhappy.Was this helpful?

This is a really lovely item for any young Harry Potter fan. The build is challenging, but not off-puttingly so, and the final result is fantastic. Hedwig's wing movement is superb: the wings flex in the middle creating a much more realistic wing flap than you would expect from what is essentially a piece of Lego sculpture. The feather elements are beautiful, and the overall look of Hedwig is just beautiful. If your child loves Harry Potter, this is a perfect addition. My 9 year old needed a little assistance with some of the gears, but this is still doable for younger builders. Highly recommend!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

This is a very nice set, I highly recommend it. Overall, I found it straightforward to build, except for a few white pieces on the head. Hedwig is a really nice display set but with the added bonus of the interactive wings. I really hope Lego do more like these for the Harry Potter range. For example, Fawkes and perhaps bigger. I love this set. I have been waiting for so long and when I finally start -- there's a missing piece in the first bag along the 40ish step. I do not want to wait a week before i can continue, so I collected the small 1x1 pieces from my previous lego set leftovers, and assembled the missing brick myself and finished it. I appreciate that Lego leaves a lot extra 1x1 pieces in each bag. However, I hope the QA could be better so it doesn't happen to anyone again. But for this set specifically: it's marvelous!
