LEGO® Playdate (Holiday edition) Contest #1 Creative Building Contest: Episodes 1, 2, 5 and 6 managed by Bricks World

  1. Contest

(a) “LEGO® Playdate Creative Building Contest” (the “Contest”) is a digital competition promoting the LEGO® Brand.

(b) The Contest is organised by LEGO Singapore Pte Ltd (“LEGO Singapore”) and managed by Brix Star Pte. Ltd. (“Bricks World”).

  1. Eligibility

(a) The Contest is open to any individual who fulfil the following conditions (collectively the “Participants” and each a “Participant”):

(i) a Participant must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or Long-Term Pass Holder (including student pass or dependent pass) aged 18 years and above and residing in Singapore;

(ii) a Participant must not be an employee of LEGO Singapore, any of its affiliate or any of its advertising agencies, an employee of BRICKS WORLD or any of its affiliates, an immediate family member of any such employee, or anyone else connected with the Contest; and

(iii) a Participant must have a contest partner aged between 5 and 12 years who has agreed on a voluntary basis to be part of the Contest as described in paragraph 4(b) below (the “Builder”).

(b) BRICKS WORLD reserves the sole and absolute right to assess and determine the eligibility of each Participant, and may require such information and documents as it considers necessary for the purposes of verifying the eligibility of an entry.

(c) BRICKS WORLD also reserves the right to disqualify any Participant without assigning any reason whatsoever.

  1. Contest Period

The Contest will take place weekly from 20 November 2021 (00:00) to 27 December 2021 (23:59) both dates inclusive (the “Contest Period”). Participants are to note that contest topics differ every week and topics are revealed by the host during each weekly episode. Depending on their interest in the topic(s), Participants can submit their entry/entries according to the Contest Submission Period below. Any submission outside of the Contest Period shall be disqualified and rejected automatically.

(a) The Contest will be conducted via Instagram under the contest hashtag #LEGOPlaydateHolidayEdition.

(b) To enter a submission for the Contest, a Participant must:

(i) Take a picture of their child’s LEGO creative build, based on the topic announced by the host in the particular week’s livestream.

(ii) Upload the video on the Participant’s Instagram account with hashtag #LEGOPlaydateHolidayEdition, tag @legocertifiedstoresbricksworld and privacy set to Public.

(c) Any submission not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be invalid and disqualified by BRICKS WORLD.

  1. Selection of Winners

(a) Out of all eligible Participants whose submissions qualify, 3 winners shall be selected by BRICKS WORLD in its sole and absolute discretion (collectively the “Winners” and each a “Winner”).

(b) All decisions made by BRICKS WORLD in relation to the selection of Winners shall be final, conclusive and binding on all Participants and Builders and non-negotiable.

(c) The Winners will be contacted via social media direct message by BRICKS WORLD by no later than 10 working days after the end of the Contest Period. A Winner may be required by BRICKS WORLD to verify his/her and/or his/her Builder’s age and/or identity.

(d) The award of a Prize is subject to acceptance by the Winner. If a Winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to BRICKS WORLD within 10 working days of BRICKS WORLD’s direct message, or fails to provide the required verification(s), the Winner is deemed to have waived his/her right to the Prize. BRICKS WORLD has the right to select a supplementary Winner at its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions of BRICKS WORLD in this regard are final and binding on all Participants and Builders.

  1. Prizes and Conditions on the Prizes

(a) Each Participant is eligible to win only one (1) prize.

(b) Each Winner will be eligible to win only one (1) Winner’s Prize. Weekly prizes are stated below:

(d) BRICKS WORLD reserves its sole and absolute discretion to replace and substitute any and all the Prizes with any other prizes of equivalent or similar values, at any time without prior notice. BRICKS WORLD accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any variation and substitution of the Prizes and its values.

(e) All Prizes are not transferable and are not exchangeable for cash, credit, or other items in part or in full. BRICKS WORLD shall not be responsible for any Prize in any event of loss, theft, damage etc after it has been delivered to a Winner.

  1. General

(a) By participating in the Contest, each Participant:

(i) warrants and represents the truth and accuracy of all information and documents submitted to BRICKS WORLD in relation to the Contest;

(ii) warrants and represents that all elements contained in the submission:

(A) are and/or will be original to the Participant and fully cleared for use as contemplated for the Contest;

(B) do and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the Participant and/or the Builder may be a party to;

(C) are not unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, invasive of another’s privacy, harassing, defamatory, slanderous, tortious, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist or otherwise offensive or objectionable to any other person or entity;

(D) do not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark or other right (including the full spectrum of intellectual property rights), or contain any matter the publication or sale of which will violate any law, including federal or state statute or regulation; and

(E) shall not require BRICKS WORLD to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of BRICKS WORLD use or exploitation of the same;

(iii) unconditionally and irrevocably grants LEGO Singapore and its group of companies an exclusive right, and perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to post, display, publish, use, adapt, edit, and/or modify the videos uploaded in accordance with paragraph 4(b) above to the public in all media including social media for promotional and marketing purposes in connection with the Contest only without further reference, compensation or payment to the Participants; and

(iii) agrees to provide his/her and his/her Player’s personal data and/or information to BRICKS WORLD for verification, contact, products delivery and/or services in connection with the Contest only. All Participants understand and agree that BRICKS WORLD may in connection with the Contest only collect, use and/or disclose such personal data and/or information provided for promotional and marketing activities via email, push notification and/or SMS, administration, feedback, surveys, market research, delivery of products by BRICKS WORLD service providers or independent contractors, individualised services and/or disclose them to LEGO Singapore -related corporations in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012. (b) Any of the Participant’s and his/her Player’s personal data and/or information collected for the purposes of the Contest will not be retained by BRICKS WORLD or LEGO Singapore beyond the completion of the Contest (the “Retention Period”). Any withdrawal of consent by a Participant to any collection, use or disclosure of such personal data and/or information will amount to an immediate withdrawal of the Participant’s submission for the Contest.

(c) In accepting the Prize, each Winner:

(i) agrees on his/her own behalf and on behalf of his/her Player to be featured in any LEGO Singapore collateral for publicity and announcement purposes in connection with the Contest only;

(ii) acknowledges that LEGO Singapore may post news or updates about the Contest and the Winners on its website and through other social media websites. However, LEGO Singapore is under no obligation to post content about the Winner and makes no representation and provides no guarantee as to when such content may be generated or published; and

(iii) acknowledges and understands that he/she is responsible for any tax payable in respect of the Prize.

(d) All personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred or to be incurred to participate in the Contest or after the Contest are the sole responsibility of the Participants.

(e) The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media network.

(f) LEGO Singapore reserves its rights to amend, vary, modify, change, suspend, cancel, extend, remove or delete any terms and conditions of the Contest at any time without prior notice and in any dispute arising out of this Contest, the decision made by LEGO Singapore shall be final and binding onto the parties of the dispute. LEGO Singapore and BRICKS WORLD shall not be held liable to compensate and/or indemnify any Participant for any

loss and damages in any manner whatsoever in connection with the Contest directly and/or indirectly.

(g) The laws of Singapore shall govern the terms and conditions of the Contest. The Participants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for all matters arising from or in relation to the Contest.

(b) The Contest is organised by LEGO Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“LEGO Singapore”) and managed by Brix Star Pte. Ltd. (“Bricks World”) for Episodes 1, 2, 5 and 6; and managed by The Brick Shop Pte. Ltd. (“The Brick Shop”) for Episodes 3 and 4.

(vii) Watch LEGO Playdate (Holiday edition) YouTube Live – a ticket with the words “LEGO® MYSTERY GIFT” will appear on the screen during each weekly episode

(viii) Take a photo or a screenshot of this ticket and show it to the retail staff at selected LEGO Certified Stores to redeem your LEGO® MYSTERY GIFT, while stocks last.

(ix) LEGO® MYSTERY GIFT can be redeemed at selected LEGO Certified Stores during opening hours, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

(j) All personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred or to be incurred to participate in the Contest or after the Contest are the sole responsibility of the Participants.

(k) The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media network.

(l) LEGO Singapore reserves its rights to amend, vary, modify, change, suspend, cancel, extend, remove or delete any terms and conditions of the Contest at any time without prior notice and in any dispute arising out of this Contest, the decision made by LEGO Singapore shall be final and binding onto the parties of the dispute. LEGO Singapore and Bricks World and The Brick Shop shall not be held liable to compensate and/or indemnify any Participant for any loss and damages in any manner whatsoever in connection with the Contest directly and/or indirectly.
