Kinda disappointingAt first i was very excited about this batwing arriving, but when i started to build the underside pieces kept popping back up. Very annoying and frustrating i am now in bag 6 and i need 4 pieces that I don’t because they weren’t included in the bag. So idk what im gonna do with it anymore.. very sad rn20 March 2022Jane, LEGO® Customer ServiceWe're sorry you're having trouble keeping your set together. Frustrating!I was very excited to build this set, having finished the 1989 Batmobile in the summer. The start of the build is the same, where a framework is made to build upon. The problem was the second bag created the underside, which has about five larger slabs to stick underneath as part of the framework. They simply did not work, each part keeps popping out or falling off regardless of the amount of pressure used. I carried on building with the hope that subsequent parts will compensate but that just didn't happen. All the way through building the Batwing the underside just kept falling off. I can only assume this is a defective set I bought as nobody else has mentioned this, which boggles my mind. My only option now is to resort to using glue, which in my mind is very anti-Lego!

Excellent display set for any of Batman fans
I would recommend this to a friend!Solid and it’s huge, i would recommend this set place on wall, that way you can fully display its unique shape and less headache finding a place for it, because it consumes so much space when on the stand and it does not look goodPlay Experience4.0Building Experience5.0Value for Money5.0

Purchased for: SelfHaving bought the Batmobile earlier this year, this set was highly anticipated, and purchased it as an early bird offer on the first day. The build itself was pretty straight forward, and while there were a lot of technic frames and plates in the first few bags, you can understand the necessity of having a strong stable foundation, especially since it’s designed to be able to be hung on a wall. I’m always in awe at some of the techniques the designers use to create their models, and this was no exception. The highlight of this is definitely the curvature of the wings! Whilst not to give anything away, it certainly surprised me a bit. The only negative for me was the absence of the Batclaw (which is used to capture Joker’s balloons in the movie). Undoubtably this would have made a wonderful feature, especially if it was moveable, but I’d like to think the designers just couldn’t make it work. The minifigs I thought were a great choice, and while I agree to a point that they should have chosen Bob over Lawrence, it still makes for a nice unique minifig on display. However, the Joker steals the show! While it’s not the Joker we see in the scene with the Batwing (which would have looked too similar to the Joker with the Batmobile), he looks awesome. I still would have liked to have seen the long barreled gun with him though (would have made for a very unique addition to the minifig and set). With everything built, it looks absolutely amazing on display, especially next to the Batmobile. Now all I need is a working bat signal and my 1989 LEGO experience will be complete.Play Experience4.0Value for Money4.0
