- August 29th, 2019Average rating3out of 5 stars3.0I want to write a good review but...I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfTo make a fair review I would need to finish all missions at the least, but I can't pass the 'decoding the message' one and I don't get why. Do I need to change the programming to check all four colors or just the first 2? I've tried both but in either case I can't get a clear. Please help! Another issue: I often can't get white to be registered correctly with the color sensors in my environment. Any tips on that? Makes some missions very hard to do. I'll write that proper review when I'm done, I promise ;) (but otherwise, where else to go to for help with this product? Support email?)13 September 2019Marine, Customer ServiceHi there! The" decoding the message" challenge is a little bit more challenging than the ones you've been doing so far. For this one there is a couple of things to keep in mind: - Build the props on the order specify by the mission (The color order changes every time you open the mission). - Attach the prop on the R2D2 prop arm. - Make the modifications on the program. This challenge is the first one where you have to code a little bit more than what the program is giving you. For the light, make sure the room you're in isn't too bright. Strong illumination in the room might confuse the sensor. If you need more help with the challenge, don't hesitate to contact our Tech Support at LEGO.build/Service.Play ExperienceAverage rating2out of 5 stars2.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating3out of 5 stars3.0Value for MoneyAverage rating3out of 5 stars3.0Was this helpful?35Droid Commander
- May 13th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0PLEASE READ. THIS IS A VERY DETAILED REVIEW.MJFlo |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfWhen I first saw this, it looked awesome. Later after I bought it I looked at the reviews. They were either really good or really bad. After it came I immediately built it. When I built it, R2 would fall over, and the gonk droid would crash and the side would fall off. When I got it all set up it looked very cool. The coding is really smart. Then I tried one of the assignments and I could not seem to figure it out. Then after retrying it finally worked. This also happened a few other times. I would be doing this hours at a time. After you accept the small bad things you see the truly wonderful droids. If you are very critical, DO NOT GET IT. But if you are the opposite, these are the droids you are looking for.
Response from LEGO SHOP16 June 2020Emily, Customer ServiceThanks for your review. If your droids are falling over or coming apart, it's a good idea to double-check the build. Something might be just a little off. - November 12th, 2019Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Very coolSnevels |I would recommend this to a friend! This isn’t your average LEGO set. You’ll have to download an app in order to build them. The set seems intimidating to build and use. It’s not hard and geared towards young kids. The build process is simple. Just follow along using the app. It didn’t take long to build the robots. This is a very educational toy in a way. Teaches programming at a child’s level & it’s a cool learning experience. Playing with the robots are fun as we have hardwood flooring so they moved along quite well. Don’t be intimidated by the product. It’s really fun and perfect for those of all ages!Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating2out of 5 stars2.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Was this helpful?55Droid Commander
- June 13th, 2021Average rating3out of 5 stars3.0Bad app, complicated build than BoostMy first boy has Lego boost, it was a great set, We bought 2 of them because we loves it so much. Love Hos the app works, doing things bit by bit and learn For my second son since boost is older so I decide to let him do the Starwars boost instead. The app is not small build like the boost is. The graphic instruction is confusion even for myself. And the prices does not come together easily like the boost did. I feel so regret opening this for my son one. I possibly buy another Lego Boost for him before it’s all gone. And save this as his next build.
