Terms & Conditions for Episode 1

LEGO® Playdate (Lunar New Year edition) Creative Building Contest

Contest

(a) “LEGO® Playdate Creative Building Contest” (the “Contest”) is a digital competition promoting the LEGO® Brand.

(b) The Contest is organised by LEGO Trading (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (“LEGO Malaysia”) and managed by Box of Bricks Sdn Bhd (“BOX OF BRICKS”).

Eligibility

(a) The Contest is open to any individual who fulfil the following conditions (collectively the “Participants” and each a “Participant”):

(i) a Participant must be a Malaysia Citizen, Permanent Resident or Long-Term Pass Holder (including student pass or dependent pass) aged 18 years and above and residing in Malaysia;

(ii) a Participant must not be an employee of LEGO Malaysia, any of its affiliate or any of its advertising agencies, an employee of BOX OF BRICKS or any of its affiliates, an immediate family member of any such employee, or anyone else connected with the Contest; and

(b) BOX OF BRICKS reserves the sole and absolute right to assess and determine the eligibility of each Participant, and may require such information and documents as it considers necessary for the purposes of verifying the eligibility of an entry.

Contest Period

The Contest Submission Period is from 22 January 2022 (14:00) to 7 February 2022 (23:59) both dates inclusive (the “Contest Period”). Any submission outside of the Contest Period shall be disqualified and rejected automatically.

Contest Mechanics

(a) The Contest will be conducted via Instagram under the contest hashtag #LEGOPlaydateLNYedition.

(b) To enter a submission for the Contest, a Participant must:

(i) Take a picture of their LEGO creative build on the topic of ‘LUNAR NEW YEAR’.

(ii) Upload the video on the Participant’s Instagram account with hashtag #LEGOPlaydateLNYedition, tag @boxofbricksmy and have privacy set to Public.

(c) Any submission not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be invalid and disqualified by BOX OF BRICKS.

Selection of Winners

(a) Out of all eligible Participants whose submissions qualify, 2 winners shall be selected by BOX OF BRICKS in its sole and absolute discretion (collectively the “Winners” and each a “Winner”).

(b) All decisions made by BOX OF BRICKS in relation to the selection of Winners shall be final, conclusive and binding on all Participants and non-negotiable.

(c) The Winners will be contacted via social media direct message by BOX OF BRICKS by no later than 10 working days after the end of the Contest Period.

(d) The award of a Prize is subject to acceptance by the Winner. If a Winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to BOX OF BRICKS within 10 working days of BOX OF BRICKS’s direct message, or fails to provide the required verification(s), the Winner is deemed to have waived his/her right to the Prize. BOX OF BRICKS has the right to select a supplementary Winner at its sole and absolute discretion. All decisions of BOX OF BRICKS in this regard are final and binding on all Participants.

Prizes and Conditions on the Prizes

(a) Each Participant is eligible to win only one (1) prize.

· Top prize: one (1) set of LEGO Lunar New Year Ice Festival (Product 80109)

· 2nd prize: one (1) set of LEGO Lunar New Year Traditions (Product 80108)

(b) All Prizes will be sent via courier upon verification and provision of necessary information for delivery. Neither BOX OF BRICKS nor LEGO Malaysia shall be liable for the non-receipt of the prizes.

(c) BOX OF BRICKS reserves its sole and absolute discretion to replace and substitute any and all the Prizes with any other prizes of equivalent or similar values, at any time without prior notice. BOX OF BRICKS accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any variation and substitution of the Prizes and its values.

(d) All Prizes are not transferable and are not exchangeable for cash, credit, or other items in part or in full. BOX OF BRICKS shall not be responsible for any Prize in any event of loss, theft, damage etc after it has been delivered to a Winner.

General

(a) By participating in the Contest, each Participant:

(i) warrants and represents the truth and accuracy of all information and documents submitted to BOX OF BRICKS in relation to the Contest;

(ii) warrants and represents that all elements contained in the submission:

(A) are and/or will be original to the Participant and fully cleared for use as contemplated for the Contest;

(B) do and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the Participant and/or the Builder may be a party to;

(C) are not unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, invasive of another’s privacy, harassing, defamatory, slanderous, tortious, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist or otherwise offensive or objectionable to any other person or entity;

(D) do not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark or other right (including the full spectrum of intellectual property rights), or contain any matter the publication or sale of which will violate any law, including federal or state statute or regulation; and

(E) shall not require BOX OF BRICKS to pay or incur any sums to any person or entity as a result of BOX OF BRICKS use or exploitation of the same;

(iii) unconditionally and irrevocably grants LEGO Malaysia and its group of companies an exclusive right, and perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to post, display, publish, use, adapt, edit, and/or modify the videos uploaded in accordance with paragraph 4(b) above to the public in all media including social media for promotional and marketing purposes in connection with the Contest only without further reference, compensation or payment to the Participants; and

(iii) agrees to provide his/her and his/her Player’s personal data and/or information to BOX OF BRICKS for verification, contact, products delivery and/or services in connection with the Contest only. All Participants understand and agree that BOX OF BRICKS may in connection with the Contest only collect, use and/or disclose such personal data and/or information provided for promotional and marketing activities via email, push notification and/or SMS, administration, feedback, surveys, market research, delivery of products by BOX OF BRICKS service providers or independent contractors, individualised services and/or disclose them to LEGO Malaysia -related corporations in accordance with the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act 2012. The Participant further agrees to the Contest Privacy Policy set out at https://www.lego.com/en-sg/news/2022/jan/contest/LEGOPlaydateContests

(b) Any of the Participant’s personal data and/or information collected for the purposes of the Contest will not be retained by BOX OF BRICKS or LEGO Malaysia beyond the completion of the Contest (the “Retention Period”). Any withdrawal of consent by a Participant to any collection, use or disclosure of such personal data and/or information will amount to an immediate withdrawal of the Participant’s submission for the Contest.

(i) agrees on his/her own behalf to be featured in any LEGO Malaysia collateral for publicity and announcement purposes in connection with the Contest only;

(ii) acknowledges that LEGO Malaysia may post news or updates about the Contest and the Winners on its website and through other social media websites. However, LEGO Malaysia is under no obligation to post content about the Winner and makes no representation and provides no guarantee as to when such content may be generated or published; and

(iii) acknowledges and understands that he/she is responsible for any tax payable in respect of the Prize.

(d) All personal costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred or to be incurred to participate in the Contest or after the Contest are the sole responsibility of the Participants.

(e) The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or any other social media network.

(f) LEGO Malaysia reserves its rights to amend, vary, modify, change, suspend, cancel, extend, remove or delete any terms and conditions of the Contest at any time without prior notice and in any dispute arising out of this Contest, the decision made by LEGO Malaysia shall be final and binding onto the parties of the dispute. LEGO Malaysia and BOX OF BRICKS shall not be held liable to compensate and/or indemnify any Participant for any loss and damages in any manner whatsoever in connection with the Contest directly and/or indirectly.

(a) The laws of Malaysia shall govern the terms and conditions of the Contest. The Participants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia for all matters arising from or in relation to the Contest.

LEGO® Playdate (Lunar New Year edition) – Instagram Filter Challenge Giveaway

Giveaway

(a) “LEGO® Playdate Instagram Filter Challenge Giveaway” (the “Giveaway”) is an omni-channel competition promoting the LEGO® Brand.

(b) The Giveaway is organised by LEGO Malaysia Pte. Ltd. (“LEGO Malaysia”) and managed by BOX OF BRICKS Pte. Ltd. (“BOX OF BRICKS”).

Eligibility

(a) The Giveaway is open to any individual who fulfil the following conditions (collectively the “Participants” and each a “Participant”):

(iii) a Participant must be a Malaysia Citizen, Permanent Resident or Long-Term Pass Holder (including student pass or dependent pass) aged 18 years and above and residing in Malaysia;

(iv) a Participant must not be an employee of LEGO Malaysia, any of its affiliate or any of its advertising agencies, an employee of BOX OF BRICKS or any of its affiliates, an immediate family member of any such employee, or anyone else connected with the Contest; and

Giveaway Period

The Giveaway will take place from 22 January 2022 (14:00) to 7 February 2022 (23:59) both dates inclusive (the “Giveaway Period”). Any submission outside of the Contest Period shall be disqualified and rejected automatically.

List of selected store list will be uploaded on BOX OF BRICKS’s website prior to the start of each Instore Redemption Period.

Giveaway Mechanics

(a) The Giveaway will be conducted via in-store redemption in selected BOX OF BRICKS LEGO Certified Stores in Malaysia.

(b) To qualify for the Giveaway, a Participant must:

(i) Post an Instagram Story using the LEGO® Year of the Tiger Instagram Filter and show the Instagram Story to the retail staff at selected BOX OF BRICKS stores to redeem your LEGO® FREE GIFT, while stocks last.

(ii) LEGO® FREE GIFT can be redeemed at selected LEGO Certified Stores during opening hours, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

(iii) List of selected store list will be uploaded on BOX OF BRICKS’s website prior to the start of each Instore Redemption Period.

(c) Any submission not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will be invalid and disqualified by BOX OF BRICKS.

Selection of Winners

(a) BOX OF BRICKS store staff will be rewarding Winners with LEGO® FREE Gift on a first-come-first-serve basis, while stocks last, upon acknowledgment of the Participant’s Instagram Story using the LEGO® Year of the Tiger Instagram Filter.

(b) All decisions made by BOX OF BRICKS in relation to the selection of Winners shall be final, conclusive and binding on all Participants and non-negotiable.

Prizes and Conditions on the Prizes

(a) Each Participant is eligible to win only one (1) prize, redeemed in-store upon acknowledgment of his/her valid Instagram Story by retail staff in selected stores.

(d) BOX OF BRICKS reserves its sole and absolute discretion to replace and substitute any and all the Prizes with any other prizes of equivalent or similar values, at any time without prior notice. BOX OF BRICKS accept no responsibility whatsoever for any variation and substitution of the Prizes and its values.

(e) All Prizes are not transferable and are not exchangeable for cash, credit, or other items in part or in full. BOX OF BRICKS shall not be responsible for any Prize in any event of loss, theft, damage etc after it has been received by a Winner.
