2 Missing pieces + 5 Incorrect pieces so far

I purchased this in early April and started building it few days ago. I was very excited to see such compact yet cute details this product had (thief stealing the doughnut!). However, the joy started to fade away one by one when I found out that two fundamental pieces were missing. Without these the building is left with two holes in the wall. While waiting for missing pieces to arrive, I moved onto building the next layer, only to realise this time there are 5 incorrect pieces which not only makes interior look different but also creates unstable foundation for the front part of the building. I will carry on building as far as I can to see if there are more missing parts/incorrect pieces. Then, I will make an official complaint because now the joy of building this cute quirky Police Station is gone. Instead, I now worry about what other missing parts there might be.Play Experience

I have been enjoying the Modular range of buildings but I wasn't too sure about this one, particularly with the very small buildings either side of the main structure. I did love the effect of ivy trailing up the side of the building and the way the arcitecture of the Police Station matches well with the existing line so I decided that I would take the plunge and get it. I am SO glad that I did. Yes, the donut shop and the newspaper stand are small. However, proportionally they work really well with the main building. The colour contrasts work to their advantage and the donut shop feels much more spacious than it really is. It is the little details that make this one for me. However, talking of details what is the Lego obsession with toilets? It is genuinely amazing to me how many sets have a toilet build crammed in there; even better most of them are built in different ways so you do get to try a range of techniques for such a standard piece of equipment. Now I've got past that can we talk about the crime board in the office - you can't see it when it's on display as a full building but it made my dried up little heart sing with joy. Wonderful mixture of building techniques and some new SNOT uses that I hadn't used previously (or if I have then I have forgotten them). The use of the gear wheels for trees is absolute genius. Fabulous set with impressive detailing and is a great deal of fun to build. Truly amazing set, i had a blast for the whole building process and now, when it is finally ready I cannot stop looking at it. This set has a lot of cool details, spots for minifigures and hidden features. It also comes with a lot of extra parts and 5 minifugures. So, yeah, it's just a toy. But, I got into Legos during lockdown, building Upside Down, Medieval Blacksmith, some similarly-scaled Harry Potter... and I have thoroughly enjoyed weirding them all up a bit. "POLICE" is not out front of this building. To me, it's a Co-op and Artists Building with Donut Shop! I've added a bunch of personal touches everywhere and continue to evolve the architecture, plant life, mini-figs, etc. These are the dollhouses I wanted as a child- but they didn't exist and I couldn't afford them! So, yeah, this is just a toy, but it's also not. It's an experience that evolves the more I play with it.Response from LEGO SHOP
