I would recommend this to a friend!
This was a really great build that I suggest you stretch out over multiple sessions. Built the set by first putting in the land masses (white & dark blue) at 1-2 columns (5-10 squares) per day. I didn't know how I'd put in the oceans, so I completed the entire set in about a week. Afterwards, I used the info from the box to guess how many pieces I'd need / have to complete the oceans & chose a different method than those I found online. I put in the oceans more by a climate zone theme (see photo). This involved math & sometimes guesswork. In the end, I ended up blending more colors than I originally intended, but I like the finished product. I'd like to see more creative designs displayed online for what people did with the oceans (and how they calculated colors needed).Play Experience4.0Building Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

I would recommend this to a friend!
This is the first LEGO art set I have purchased, and I'm definitely sold. I wasn't a fan of the oceans so started the model 'customise the oceans' map with the cube but then found it a lot more fun and interesting just to decorate the oceans my own way. It's huge, and will make a great conversation piece on the wall. It took hours and hours too, and comes with extra pieces, so really good value for money. My only complaint is that the cat currently thinks it's a scratch board.Play Experience3.0Building Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

I would recommend this to a friend!
This is a nice set which can be customised to however you like! There wasn’t a build set in the lego store yet so it was hard to determine whether the standard colour customisation would look good, I was hesitant with the pictures on the box. So I started off creating the black and white set, thought it looked too plain so I customised it by adding different colours for each of the continents. The result really pops against the black! It also means there are hundreds of pieces left over to build your own art piece, just need to buy some more base plates. I still hope to customise it further by adding flags or markers of where our family have travelled and the countries we want to visit when borders reopen. I started doing this with pins, see second photo. Even though the set was missing a bag of pieces required to stabilise the back of the map (which I have now received) I think it looks great and would recommend this set.Play Experience4.0Building Experience4.0Value for Money3.0Was this helpful?

I was SO excited to get this set for Christmas. However, once I opened all the bags of pieces that I received and got set up to start, I realized I was missing FOUR of the nine brick colors. Like not a single brick in those four colors necessary to do the ocean. How does that happen?? I’ve started the set with the missing pieces while waiting for a response from the missing brick department and realized they also definitely didn’t send enough of the white bricks for the land either. Cmon lego!! I’ve had my eyes on this set for forever! Pretty upset, hoping they make it right and send all the missing bricks that they forgot to include.5 January 2022Samuel, LEGO® Customer ServiceWe're truly sorry to hear that.
