- November 7th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0Sturdy set with few problematic detailsMerit |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI like the fact that it's very ambitious and demanding set which doesn't necessarily spark joy with every next package of bricks (feels like a endless amount) but gives great satisfaction once you see how sturdy it becomes after all this building. It's also a great way to exercise patience because it's not a one night build; if you want to really enjoy the process of building you have to take your time and make sure that you don't rush it and make mistakes that can create problems at the next steps. It was also a great way to get off the 24/7 newsreel which has been otherwise almost impossible to accomplish. Still, there are some details I think could be improved. First, the stand won't give me necessary assurance that it will hold the Batwing's weight. It should be more proportional to Batwing's dimensions. Second, the removability of the canopy isn't a great idea in its current form, because it gives me the feel that I did something wrong in the process as it doesn't really fit perfectly. Also, what happens when I decide to put the Batwing on the wall (which I will do)? Will it fall off or stay on its place with 50-50 chance of falling off?11 November 2020Marine, Customer ServiceHi there, We always test and retest our toys to make sure that they’ll hold up to play (an display in this situation) when they’re built exactly as shown in the instructions. If your set ever seems like it's not very sturdy, the best thing to do is double-check your build. Sometimes there may be a piece just a little off from where it should be. You’ll also want to make sure that all the pieces are pressed tightly together. Thanks for your feedback on the canopy as well. We'll make sure to let our designers know.Play ExperienceAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 1 daysBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?451989 Batwing
- November 4th, 2020Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Great ThrowbackPurchased for: SelfLove this Batwing from the Original Batman Movie. The detail is outstanding. I only wish it gave a bit more detail on wall mounting or if they had a video tutorial of best way. I fear it falling off the wall once up.Play ExperienceAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating3out of 5 stars3.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 7 hrs 18 minsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?551989 Batwing
- December 31st, 2020Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Took me to 89 and then some.kidvid82 |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI developed a minor case of anxiety and wanted to find an outlet to release it and be creative at the same time. I was at the mall and walked past a LEGO Store and remembered what it was like as a kid to build these monumental pieces. As a huge Batman conossiuer I noticed the Batwing on a poster in the window and couldn't turn my head away. This item was monstrous and I desired it. The rest as they say is history. Currently working on the 89 Batmobile. The 1 con to building the Batwing is that it does get a little repetitive, though rest assure the final product is worth it and hang it on your wall for a finesse piece of cinematic history to show the peeps.Play ExperienceAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Value for MoneyAverage rating5out of 5 stars5.0Build Time: 7 daysBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?551989 Batwing
- November 1st, 2020Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Awesome set! So much fun to build! A++++I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfThis set is definitely one of the coolest Batman themed sets I’ve ever built. It is extremely detailed inside and out. It displays perfectly with and without the stand and on the wall. It is a symmetrical build so there is mediocre repetition. But it’s extremely sturdy and very easy to move around. My nephew really enjoyed playing with it and since it’s that sturdy and does not contain many parts that detach easily. I didn’t have to worry about any little pieces breaking off. And, just like the recent Batmobile, this LEGO was given the right age rating. Overall, you should definitely buy this one if you have the Batmobile. PS. I hope they release the Batboat in the near future.Play ExperienceAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Level of DifficultyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Value for MoneyAverage rating4out of 5 stars4.0Build Time: 5 hrs 35 minsBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?551989 Batwing
