- April 24th, 2021Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0LEGO + NASA = Joy!Ponynoz |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI built my first LEGO set a little over a year and a half ago. Since then I have built over 25 sets. My favorite theme is the NASA sets. I also love Technic and Star Wars. Watch out May 4th! Building these sets is one of the most enjoyable and gratifying hobbies I have ever done. I have spent most of the last year and a half with a lego set either being assembled or disassembled, and all my sets have been built multiple times. I am amazed at how my imagination is inspired by building legos, and can only speculate how different I may have developed as a child had I opportunity to experience legos earlier in life. I encourage everyone to build at least 3 sets in there life, don't laugh, it could change the world!Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 9 hrsBuilding Experience: Intermediate LEGO builderWas this helpful?55NASA Space Shuttle Discovery
- August 15th, 2021Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0Poor quality control, but great setTuffTuff |I would recommend this to a friend! My kit had lots of quality control issues. There were about 5 parts in the box that were outside of the sealed bags (from various bags), 4 of which I needed. My kit was also missing 2 pieces. I understand it occasionally happens that a kit is missing a piece, and I've already got replacements ordered through Lego, but the free floating pieces are something I haven't seen before. I'm not a fan of the black background on the instructions, they can be difficult to see. However I had a few pages that had poor printing that made if difficult to determine the specific piece and number needed. Finally, the mirror stickers are too small and the cut was not lined up properly, so I have a black line printed across the edge of all of my mirror stickers. If you look at the leftover sticker sheet, there is tons of material left over. The stickers could have been larger to actually fill up the whole part and make applying them easier, not to mention they could have been spaced out more to prevent the inaccurate cutting across the printed line. With that said, it was a fun set to build and I liked seeing how the landing gear was assembled as I waited to see how it operated. It looks cool with the stands and had similar joys from the Saturn V during build. It was just soured slightly with the quality control issues
Response from LEGO SHOP18 August 2021Jane, LEGO® Customer ServiceOh no! We're sorry for the issues you've had while building. We're glad you reached out for replacement parts! You'll be happy to hear we plan on moving away from the dark building instruction pages based on comments from fans like yourself! There's not a timeframe yet, but it's coming!Play Experience5.0Value for Money3.0Was this helpful?45NASA Space Shuttle Discovery
