- October 8th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0I’m only doing this for attention...I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfBut I’d really love to give this set 6/5. There’s only 2 reasons that I can’t. 1. I received a twisted 6x8 plate used in the game cartridge itself, 2 bowed 2x16 plates in bag 7 for the console top, resulting in a flaw in the finished product. My manuals were also badly folded on themselves inside the box and the loose antenna rod was quite bent, and even straightening it with my fingers for 20 minutes didn’t get it all that perfect. I would have thought that when a highly anticipated product sells out on the first day and we have to wait 6 weeks of checking the website every day to even be able to order one again, that the quality control would be on point and not rushed like it seems was the case for a number of people here. 2. I think there could have been a bit clearer of an instruction on the tv base. Since I’ve done the Ideas Treehouse, I’ve faced the no-stud-clip method before. But other than lack of clarity, I see no real reason to down rate for it, so hopefully this review helps a few people. If you struggle with the tv stand, turn it upside down to get a better look. There’s no studs, but there’s still a trademark “snap” when you get it right. I’d lastly like to give some advice for bags 17-19: if you need an efficient way to straighten your 1x1 tile decorations, my best method was to place all the 2x16s on a flat surface (Technic bits removed) and sandwich them between two long bricks. It’s not perfect, but it’s much nicer for your fingers than fiddling with single 1x1 tiles. Pro tip: wait til you’ve done both layers of decoration, i.e. bag 19, to save triple handling. All being said and done this was a fantastically entertaining build, and I would like to give my sincerest thanks to the designers, the LEGO team, and most of all Nintendo for allowing this all to be possible. I was even thankful for the Zelda and Metroid teasers in the front of the manual. ;) I will be even more thankful when we can buy new screens, second controllers, and extra game paks and stickers form that extra authentic look & feel. ;) ;) hint hint.Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 7 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?45Nintendo Entertainment System™
- November 20th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0Nintendo FunI would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfFirst I would like to say this is a amazing replicated kit I'm build this set at my job and when my coworkers see the Nintendo console they think it's the real deal until I tell them it's a Lego..There pretty amazed.. I grew up playing all the game systems and this is one reason why I bought the set. I love all the details that went into making the console even being able to insert the Cartridge and locking it down. The only downfall to that I would say is for my console the locking mechanism doesn't slide all the way to allow the tray to unlock so I have to tilt the console forward while holding down the game cartride to release the mechanism that's why I only gave it a 9 rating instead of a 10.. But it's not like I will be inserting and removing the cartridge all the time. This is a fun set to build and brings back some memories..Play Experience4.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 10 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?45Nintendo Entertainment System™
- August 8th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0First 2,000+ buildI would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI was crazy excited, when I went to pick up this set. I am new to building expert sets, but this was so awesome to build. A lot of fun and definitely a walk down memory lane. My kids loved watching how everything came together and the television. I finished it quicker than I thought I would have. *****I do have one complaint, that the tv doesn’t connect to the stand. ***** I recommend add a post in each four corners to prevent sliding. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.Play Experience4.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money4.0Build Time: 1 daysBuilding Experience: Novice LEGO builderWas this helpful?45Nintendo Entertainment System™
