It is also a substantial display piece and even though mine has had to go on a low shelf it still draws the eye with the bright colouration and the intricacy of the scene. I am going to mention the location of the trigger for the light brick just enough to say it makes me giggle like a 7 year old every time I trigger it. With 7 minifigures included (6 if you factor in the red statue) you really can populate your scene in a pleasing way. Even better they come with fun little accessories so crack out the selfie stick or slurp on some Ramen whilst you visit the park. Good range of building techniques that do leave you wondering where the designer is going with this and then suddenly you have a moon gate or a gazebo. With a good range of colours used in transparent and opaque bricks and tiles there really is a sense of depth to the water and the printed Koi are just the chefs kiss on top of a beautiful set. In all honesty I was keen to get this set when I first saw it and it has completely blown my expectations out of the water. If you are on the fence about this one then take the plunge you certainly won't regret it - I definitely didn't and I am becoming hard to please. Nice printed pieces, lots of pieces in different colors and shapes, and cool building techniques. Also comes with a nice selection of minifigures. It displays nicely on its own, but also looks great next to other modulars or other chinese new year sets. A lot of the pieces are used for the landscaping, so the overall build looks “short” and sparse. However, there are nice intricate details, and it’s nice to have a nice brick built pond and landscape in a Lego set. Highly recommendLevel of Difficulty3.0Was this helpful?55Spring Lantern Festival

It has lots of neat building elements and has taught me a couple new tricks for when I’m free styling. I LOVE all the little details which this has in spades whereas some other sets don’t, you will really notice them as you build. I bought this to add to my Ninjago city sets as it fits the Asian style and it seems to be a perfect addition to my city, now I just need to track down a Ninjago Docks set for a reasonable sum and I will be happy. Do yourself a favor and buy this set if you’re on the fence, its really fun to build and to just look at and admire.Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Build Time: 3 daysBuilding Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Spring Lantern Festival
