  Overall great build, great set.

  I would recommend this to a friend!

  The finished piece looks great and its my first purchase of the Tumbler as I didnt get the one which came out in 2014. During the build, I noticed that ALL the 2x1 slope pieces had a hairline scratch on them which I didnt expect to see and was disappointed - may be its just my wish for every piece to be clean and perfect/flawless. Could this be down to manufacturing or could it have been avoided?? Also the plates with studs around the edges tend to smudge easily if you touch them and can not get rid of the smudge - any tips on cleaning it? / getting rid of the finger prints? Other than that I like the set and is good as a display set as there are alot of delicate pieces which can be detached easily or knocked off when handled. It would be better if all the pieces fitted more securely.

  Awesome but has sticker issues

  I would recommend this to a friend!

  This is a great display set not meant for kids. Much of the outer shell is not well-secured, so don’t expect to move it much. I’m not sure why someone would anyway since it is clearly designed to be admired, which it should be. My only issues are the stickers. The second sticker sheet only has one small sticker for a 2x1 tile. It was loose in the box and crumpled into a ball, which made it look bad and degraded the adhesive. I put in a request for a replacement, but haven’t heard anything, which is not normal. Also, for the main display "plaque," no one should have to place a 2.5x5 inches (6x12.5cm) sticker. This set costs over $200 USD and something that large and prominent should be printed. I can deal with smaller ones, but placing that behemoth will be a nightmare that I have not yet dared to attempt. I took a shot at the Imperial Probe Droid one and it went…poorly. The sticker issues aside, the build was fun and engaging. It didn’t feel repetitive, exhibiting enough variety to make it easy to enjoy. The two minifigures are amazing, though Batman’s cape refuses to stay down, making it look perpetually wind-blown. This may have been the intended effect, so he may require posing to take advantage of it. I recommend this set to any Batman nerd.

  Fragile outer shell

  This set seems to be designed for display only (I guess hence the stand). The chassis was super sturdy, but the shell pieces are not held together well. For example, some pieces are attached together by a single stud or clip. I have to be really careful when picking it up as some shell pieces may get dislodged. Also the build is very symmetric. It’s easier to just build both side simultaneously to save effort. There is few “LEGO delight” compared to other sets. All in all, this is not my favorite build but the finished product looks convincing on its stand.

  Great display, low value for money

  I’ve literally built hundreds of lego sets & numerous vehicles from some of the more basic to some of the most complex. This was a lot of pieces but not particularly complicated. It makes a great display model and goes nicely with the 1989 Batmobile & Batwing. My issue with the set is the lack of functionality and the price. The top roof panels come off to view the interior and a couple wings at the back adjust slightly by manually moving them, but there are no weapons, no engine, no suspension (not functioning suspension, only simulated coil-overs at the rear). I find the model to be somewhat delicate. If you pick it up in the wrong place, you’ll knock off parts. The double wheels at the rear are also somewhat delicate. I picked it up wrong & pulled a wheel off by accident. The rear ‘turbine’ isn’t well secured. The front window between the front tires has come off. The side windows have been popped off by accident. The round bar piece at the back comes off easily too. At $330 CDN for 2000+ pieces is about $0.16/pc. Other vehicles in the same range tend to be about $0.11-$0.13/pc including the Bugatti, Lamborghini, Ferrari Corsa. In summary, nice display, expensive & very delicate. Build, display & back away slowly.
