I did love the effect of ivy trailing up the side of the building and the way the arcitecture of the Police Station matches well with the existing line so I decided that I would take the plunge and get it. I am SO glad that I did. Yes, the donut shop and the newspaper stand are small. However, proportionally they work really well with the main building. The colour contrasts work to their advantage and the donut shop feels much more spacious than it really is. It is the little details that make this one for me. However, talking of details what is the Lego obsession with toilets? It is genuinely amazing to me how many sets have a toilet build crammed in there; even better most of them are built in different ways so you do get to try a range of techniques for such a standard piece of equipment. Now I've got past that can we talk about the crime board in the office - you can't see it when it's on display as a full building but it made my dried up little heart sing with joy. Wonderful mixture of building techniques and some new SNOT uses that I hadn't used previously (or if I have then I have forgotten them). The use of the gear wheels for trees is absolute genius. Fabulous set with impressive detailing and is a great deal of fun to build. - January 23rd, 2021Average rating3out of 5 stars3.0DisappointedI would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI am lucky enough to own most of the modular buildings, but I am disappointed with this set. The reason for this, is mainly the colour scheme. Tell me when you have ever seen a bright purple building on the high street? It's just ridiculous. I think that Lego need to make up their minds whether they are appealing to adult collectors or children with the modular range. At the moment it looks like they are trying to have their cake and eat it. I felt this way with the Downtown Diner as well. The modular range is marketed as 18 plus, so please make these sets a little more sophisticated and less like toys. Bring back designers like Astrid please!!!Play Experience3.0Value for Money4.0Building Experience: Expert LEGO builderWas this helpful?35Police Station

This set has a lot of cool details, spots for minifigures and hidden features. It also comes with a lot of extra parts and 5 minifugures. Just go and buy it, this is one of the best lego buildings available.Play Experience4.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Building Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?55Police Station
- February 4th, 2021Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0A Welcome Addition to the ModularsI would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfI was really excited when Lego announced that the next modular building would be a Police Station. I've wanted one of these in the modular collection for years. I feel this set has helped cement a return towards the greatness last seen with Assembly Square. However, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have liked some additional contents inside the police station such as a forensic lab, armoury, suspect line-up area as well as more police minifigures and a police car from the building era. Nevertheless, it's a good set and I really like the addition of the donut shop and the tunnel under the jail cell.Play Experience4.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money4.0Build Time: 2 daysBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?45Police Station
