3 top tips to build an awesome race car

Want to build a race car to blow away the competition? Here are 3 important design features to think about before you start building: Tip 1: Aerodynamics – the shape of your car will affect its speed so aim for a streamlined form. Tip 2: Control – speed is important but so is control. Make sure your car can slow down for corners. Tip 3: Great looks – Sponsor stickers might not make the car go faster but they look super-cool.

Crack the course!

Build a fun obstacle track in your room. Use LEGO® bricks, pillows or whatever you have available. Now roll down the curtains and close the door. Put a flashlight or a smartphone on your RC Stunt Racer and see how fast you can drive the track. You can also ask your parents, brothers or sisters, or friends to see if they can beat your record! Ready, set, go!

Master Your Pull-back!

How far can you go? Build a cool ramp and measure out a track 1.5 meters in length – make sure that no one is in front of the ramp when you let the car go. Mark the landing spot with a LEGO® brick, then try again to see if you can beat the record. For even more fun, put a basket or box on the landing spot, and see if you can get your pull-back to jump into the same spot again! Good luck!
