Minecraft™ Moments – Lydia Winters

We’ve all had a head-in-hands moment while playing Minecraft™, right? Well so have the pros! CaptainSparklez and AntVenom have both told us their epic fail stories, and now it’s Lydia’s turn. What happens when you aggravate a Wolf? Well, MinecraftChick (aka Lydia from Mojang!) found out the hard way when she first started playing the game. The Farm

Yield renewable resources with The Farm! You'll need food to survive, so fence in the livestock and channel the flowing water to nurture the crops. Harvest pumpkins, wheat, sugar cane and carrots. Use the crafting table to create a pumpkin helmet or jack-o'-lantern. But watch out for the skeleton with his bow and arrow after nightfall! Did you know you can sleep in a thunderstorm?

Ordinarily, you can only get some shut-eye for Steve at night time. But did you know that you can sleep during the day if there’s a thunderstorm. And when you wake up, the storm will be over!

The End Arena

When an End warrior takes on a dragon archer in the End Arena, they must watch out for more than each other’s weapons. The Ender Dragon sculpture that towers above them launches lava blocks from its mouth, while the movable floor could slide apart at any moment, causing one of them to fall into a pool of lava! Do you have the Minecraft® skills to survive a battle in the End Arena?

What’s the funniest Minecraft™ sound?

You can’t deny that some Minecraft™ noises are just plain funny. It’s a world where every woosh and bang is a new surprise! You might find yourself asking… why are the sheep screaming? Why do Ghasts™ sound like they’re having a bad dream? The First Night

Use the daylight hours wisely to survive The First Night! The End Portal

The eyes of ender have led you across a snowy mountainous landscape to a secret stronghold. Don your diamond armour, grab your diamond sword and proceed with caution! Search for bookshelves in the cobwebbed, torchlit library. Battle the scary cave spider and seize the chest containing diamonds, redstone and an iron ingot. Then defeat the endermen to retrieve the eyes of ender and activate the End portal!

The Frozen Peaks

Deep in the Frozen Peaks biome, buried beneath the ice, lies coal, iron and emerald ore. Before you begin mining, build a shelter and gather food. But look out! A Creeper™ and a stray are trying to wreck your mission. When they attack, will you escape through the perilous dripstone cave, use TNT to blow up the mountain so you can reach your shelter, or get a goat to ram them off the cliff edge?

The Panda Nursery

Prepare to care for the cutest mob in Minecraft™! Mum has brought baby panda to nursery – and they’re both full of life. They stand, sit, look around… usually for food! Luckily, there’s lots of bamboo to eat, and Alex has brought a pie to share! Time for a nap? Help baby panda climb the ladder to the rooftop bed. This hands-on LEGO® set adds a whole new dimension to your Minecraft adventures!

The Ender Dragon

Enter the End at your peril! Don your diamond armor and helmet, grab your weapons and step into this dayless dimension that floats in the void beneath starless skies. Seek out the dangerous Endermen that dwell in the darkness. Wield your diamond sword and bow to defeat the enemy. Then summon all your powers to confront the mighty Ender Dragon that hovers above the regenerative Ender Crystals. When you've slain the dragon, collect the dragon egg to create an exit portal. The Training Grounds

The Ocean Monument

Help Alex construct the house and lookout tower, build a protective wall and ring the fortress with burning torches. Have the tame wolf stand guard while you craft a bed, table, door, ladder and a boat, then sail out in search of crops to farm within the outpost walls. As darkness falls, silhouettes of approaching skeletons appear on the desert horizon. Grab your weapons, load up the TNT launcher, and prepare for battle! The Iron Golem

The sun is heading for the horizon and hostile mobs will soon be roaming the Minecraft™ landscape. You'll need to protect yourself and your baby pig! Mine the iron ore with your diamond pickaxe, smelt iron ingots in the furnace and craft iron blocks using the crafting table. Then use the pumpkin head to create the iron golem, and spring a surprise attack on the zombie!

The Abandoned Village

Grab your sword, it’s time to reclaim the abandoned village from the zombies! Battle the zombie villager at the blast furnace, seize the zombie farm and capture the abandoned house. Now you can rebuild the village in your own awesome style! Clear the cobwebs, combine the different buildings, and add furniture and tools for work. Finally, build a campfire – and plan your next adventure!

The Village

Enjoy endless adventures at the busy Minecraft™ village. This hive of activity features a library, blacksmith, butcher and a marketplace. Have the iron golem patrol the streets to ward off zombies and other hostile mobs. Join forces with Alex, and combine your Minecraft know-how to mine, craft, create, grow vital crops and tend to the livestock. But keep an eye out for the exploding Creeper™ and the enderman that roam after nightfall!
