Steps

  • Step 1

    Gather your holiday helpers

    Children playing with LEGO bricks

While it can be fun to set yourself a challenge, building six skaters skating all by yourself can be a lot of hard work. So, why not gather some friends and family to help? After all, this is the season for coming together and spending time with your loved ones.

  • Step 2

    Set the scene

    A LEGO penguin

You can’t expect six skaters to go skating without an ice rink. So, have a look around the house to see if you can find any crafty items that you can use to help build your very own ice-skating rink or frozen lake.

Top tip:We recommend grabbing an old shoe box and layering the bottom with some white paper for the ice. Or you can lay down a blue tea towel or pillowcase on a flat surface to create a frosty scene. Then you can get as creative as you like by adding your own festive themed winter backdrop.

  • Step 3

    Build your skaters

    Minifigures in winter clothing

Do you have any winter characters in your LEGO® minifigure collection already? If you do, that’s a good place to start. But if not, don’t worry, it’s easy to build your own!

Simply pick out a head, hairpiece, outfit and accessories for each skater. Alternatively, you can use some of your toys, but make them a special pair of LEGO® ice skates.

  • Step 4

    It’s showtime!

A minifigure and a LEGO animal skating

Gather your friends and family and head to the ice rink for some festive fun! Watch your skaters as they gracefully glide across the ice or host a contest to see who can pull off the best moves.

Top tip:Get a grown-up to stand by the sidelines and be the judge for an ice-skating competition. You could even host a holiday-themed version and get your six skaters gliding to some festive tunes.
