Job Description

In this role, you’ll guide and inspire a high-performing global team, coaching them and the wider organization to translate complex data into clear strategic choices. Partnering closely with senior leadership, you’ll foster a truly data-driven culture by connecting functions, systems, and ways of working, ensuring insights are embedded into everyday decisions and deliver measurable value at scale!

Core Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Insights & Analytics strategy for LEGO Education, spanning the data platform, analytics products, insight delivery, and reporting infrastructure; anticipate how data, AI, and technology will reshape the business
Lead a global team of analytics partners, insights specialists, and reporting enablement professionals (a team of ~8 in Denmark & US), building capability, ways of working, and a high-performance culture
Serve as the primary insight partner to the LEGO Education President and Leadership Team, translating end-to-end business data into executive-level strategic narratives, clear choices, and ‘insight to impact’
Lead the shift to a data-driven culture (not a “data function”) by partnering across Commercial, Product, Marketing, Finance, Digital Technology, and other functions to embed insights into planning, governance, and day-to-day decision making
Define and lead the transformation of I&A through a strategic roadmap that translates priority business questions into analytics products, self-serve reporting, and decision enablement, tracking value creation and adoption
Think in systems, not silos: connect data sources, teams, and processes end-to-end to improve speed, quality, and consistency of insights across LEGO Education
Ensure strong governance, ethics & trust: define data stewardship, quality standards, and privacy-by-design practices; work closely with Legal, Finance, and Digital Technology to enable responsible use of data and AI

As Head of Insights & Analytics for LEGO Education, you will shape how we use data, analytics and AI to drive growth and better serve educators and learners globally. You will build a data foundations, enablement & insight partnering team that helps leaders move from reporting to action; making faster, clearer decisions across commercial performance, customer & consumer understanding, product and portfolio choices, and go-to-market execution.
This is a transformation role. You will embed a data-driven culture, connect teams and data end-to-end, and pioneer adoption of AI and advanced analytics. Working with Digital Technology and functional leaders, you will put in place the operating model, governance and capabilities needed to turn trusted data into clear stories, scalable solutions and measurable business results.
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate has progressive experience in analytics, business insights, data science, and/or strategy/management consulting with a strong analytics component, including senior stakeholder partnering. In addition, we expect that you have:
Proven people leadership experience building and leading global teams and capabilities (e.g., insights, analytics, data products, BI/reporting enablement) and track record of leading projects and people with global scale
Well-rounded grasp of analytics, data science, AI/ML, and modelling concepts. Able to set direction, coach experts, and make sound trade-offs between value, speed, and technical complexity
Demonstrated track record of using AI and advanced analytics to change business outcomes (e.g., forecasting, segmentation, pricing/pack architecture, experimentation, automation, GenAI-enabled decision support) and to reshape ways of working
Experience supporting or driving organizational change, with the ability to introduce new ways of working and bring stakeholders along
Champions a data-driven culture, not a data function; able to prioritize and take people on a change journey
Familiarity with Databricks or a cloud Lakehouse environment for building and maintaining analytical views advantageous
It will be an advantage if you have Education and/or EdTech experience, but not a requirement.
