Amazing set but with a minor problem
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a really good set with a descent exclusive Harry mini-figure and a accurate but small Hegwig Build. The range of motion with the wings is good and the cranking mechanism is smooth. Also the stand is a great edition and I love the colour of the stained glass pieces. However my main problem with the set is that the technic pieces are exposed and the letter at the front is a sicker not a printed piece Overall I believe that this set is a really good purchase for £35 and it has an enjoyable build as well. This was actually bought for my partner who is a beginner builder. The instructions were very clear except for 2 parts which involved the mechanical movement of the wings. The cogs used are of different sizes and this isn't illustrated in the build so alot of dismantling and guessing with some parts. With some luck she had an engineer at hand to help. She completed 98% of the build however at the end you need to be careful with the moving of the wings as parts do tend to pop off for some reason. It is Hedwig. She is carrying a letter from Hogwarts and moves her wings in an elegant way. What else can a Potterhead want? Hedwig is permanently attached to the holder, therefore, the set is not very swooshable and is mostly a gorgeous display piece. The gear mechanism that makes the wings move gives the set a more advanced flavor but is not complicated to put together.
