Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Bench is the Icing
I would recommend this to a friend!
This was my most enjoyable set build for a long time. While the piano itself was super interesting, particularly the authenticity of the action, something about making the lid was the most enjoyable. Perhaps because it was the final step, but simply in itself the lid was so elegant and true to life. The way the piano rolls around on the legs is also very satisfying. But all that was overshadowed by the bench. I hadn’t expected it. Icing on the cake. A few steps into building the bench, it dawned on me that it adjusted up and down using a lifelike screw mechanism, I gave a big smile. How cool is that! Now I need to train a squirrel to play it.Play Experience4.0Building Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?

Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Amazing Set, but One Problem with One Solution
I would recommend this to a friend!
I've been waiting for this set to come since 2018, and it finally came! Everything was so well designed and I'm very pleased with this set. However, there is one design issue. When you press the auto realign button, the motor rotates counter-clockwise and an orange piece hits a beam (which is supposed to happen). But when it hits the beam, the axle doesn't align exactly at 90 degrees, but a little over. This makes the keys on the piano go down just a tiny bit (for only some keys). Solution: Remove the tan piece in front of the holder with the beam and replace with a 2 by 2 plate. The piece holding the grey beam should be moved forward by one 1 by 2 plate. Next, remove the rubber piece in the front. Then add 2, 1 by 2 plates and one 1 by 2 tile stacked and place in front of the holder that used to hold the rubber piece. This way the orange piece should align at 90 degrees, if not, only a few degrees off. Sorry if the instructions are not clear!!!!!!Play Experience5.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?

Average rating2out of 5 stars2.0Keys never straight up once the motor is engaged
The build experience was fun. However, it is deeply disappointing that once the keyboard is engaged to the motor turn mechanics, you will never see all the keys be in their up position all at the same time again! As in, some keys will always be pressed down position, while some will be half way up (see picture). The keys will never be all in their 'unpressed' position. I wonder if there is a way to make the motor disengaging the keys at the back... I am tempted to remove the motored turn stick altogether but this doesn't sound like a strategy Lego would want their customers to do to compensate this. I am hoping one of the Lego employees would read this comment and point me to a solution because maybe I didn't read the instruction properly? Thanks.14 July 2021Gabriela , LEGO® Customer ServiceThank you for letting us know. It's normal for the keys to sometimes not lay completely flat, but we'd be happy to take a closer look. Just give us a shout on LEGO.build/Service-BV and we'll be on it!Play Experience2.0Building Experience5.0Value for Money2.0Was this helpful?

Firstly, I’d like to say that this is a very visually appealing build, and interactivity is certainly it’s strongest quality. However, I feel that the age rating is quite misleading, as an 18+ build implies quite a high level of intricacies and of difficulty, which was not the case. I wasn’t necessarily trying to work quickly (in fact, I was trying to go slowly) yet this build was complete after only working on it for two nights. This was somewhat disappointing, as the piano is quite expensive and one would expect it to be more difficult and for it to take a long time to complete. My only other complaint is that when looking more closely at the piano keys in detail, they don’t form a perfectly straight line as they aren’t lined up very precisely. This, however, is a much smaller gripe, as it could also be attributed to builder error. Other than this, I was pleasantly surprised by the build as a whole, and the piano creates a beautiful and interactive centrepiece.Play Experience5.0Value for Money2.0Was this helpful?
