I would recommend this to a friend!
I understand the bad reviews, people are absolutely IN LOVE with P1 clone troppers and I agree isn't a good move from LEGO to include only three minifigures on a battlepack when we are used to get four. The commander is pretty cool and this is a great opportunity to create an army. There's no building experience, you only buy this for the clones; I made a bigger command center mixing two sets.

A Lazy Attempt on a Golden Oppurtunity

My fellow Lego enthusiasts. I would like to give a warning before buying this set in a bulk. It is extremely over-priced. For a well awaited set like this, we would expect 4 troopers, an exclusive trooper to this set and phase 2 troopers, but instead we get this disaster. For the price of 15 dollars, we get a command station that will eventually get lost, and 2 regular troopers and one trooper exclusive to a 350 dollar set. If the building costs around 1 dollar, the others cost 4.60 dollars each. A downright money scheme. And in times like these they give us this? Won't buy more then 3, and I like my battlepacks, so this says something.

Overpriced and Understocked

Although a great compact set on the surface, the price of this set makes this a very underwhelming purchase. The departure from the 4 troopers and a vehicle packs are long gone, replaced instead by 3 trooper packs for the same price. The figures are a great addition, however I find it frustrating just how understocked this set manages to be. If you ever happen to find it in stock, goodluck getting more than one in the small span of time you have to get it. Worse even is the fact that no back order option has been given. Overall an unimpressive set that is a disservice to the clone trooper battle packs of old

"Begun, the Clone Wars have"

I want to start off by saying there are a lot of bad reviews on this set, some for legitimate reasons and some for less legitimate reasons. Personally, I was excited for this set the minute it was revealed and still think it's a pretty darn good set. Are there some issues? Yes, the addition of the Commander was a bit weird. However, I went and rewatched the Battle Of Geonosis and there are quite a few Clone commanders on the battlefield. The price is iffy for some people as well but if you think in terms of each figure being five dollars USD, the price is actually not bad, especially when compared to the new Hoth Battle pack. It's been so long since we had an easy way to get a nice army of normal Phase 1 troopers and these new versions are SHARP. They appear to be a hybrid of the Clone Wars armor and the Attack of the Clones armor and I think that was a great choice on Lego's part. They took the best aspects of both armors and combined it into one fantastic looking minifigure. The builds aren't bad either, even thought the command post itself is way way scaled down. I am a little confused about why there are 3 types of blasters in the set as Clones typically only use two rifle types and a pistol whereas there are 3 rifles in the set. Minor nitpick though since you can just remove the extended barrel. Overall, this is THE way to get yourself some Phase 1 troopers and I personally am really happy with this set.
