- January 22nd, 2022Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0Great product with small issueMrBlc |I would recommend this to a friend!I would really like to give 5 stars, but there is issue with cartridge mechanism. Lego claims they tested it, but users still have issues, including me. Maybe there is some factor like temperature or something like that which causes problem outside tested conditions. One important part is orientation of T shape axle and pin connector part - as someone mentioned, hollow part next to axle connection must be towards front. But that wasn't enough for smooth operation. I ended up reassembling with few parts switched to different position and achieved smooth operation: I attached white three holes beam, originally in right hinge, to T shape part and put yellow technic brick from cartridge holder to hindge instead of beam. Only two extra pins are needed (one for connecting beam to T part, other to replace long pin when removing yellow technic brick), which are included in package as extras. I don't know what is better, TV or NES, I'm truly amazed, but still couldn't give 5 stars because I think that this kind of issue is unacceptable in this price range. But still would highly recommend, especially with this easy fix available (especially when you know for it before building, rebuild with a minimal disassembling is possible, but hard and requires some skill). Great set.23 January 2022Sonia, LEGO® Customer ServiceHi there! - January 18th, 2022Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0I recommend to everyone!I would recommend this to a friend! It is the first time I buy/built a Lego for myself like an adult. It was a pleasant surprise. The building experience it was really interesting and relaxing. Easy to follow steps and straight forward instructions. The TV mechanic is simple but is really cool to build it and even more cool to show it! The final results is looking amazing!!! Really close to the original. An the TV is looking far better than what I was expected. It not really big and that for my is a big +++ Because is really nice decorations that Drow attention with out take to much space or distract the eye.

- October 8th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0I’m only doing this for attention...I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfBut I’d really love to give this set 6/5. There’s only 2 reasons that I can’t. 1. I received a twisted 6x8 plate used in the game cartridge itself, 2 bowed 2x16 plates in bag 7 for the console top, resulting in a flaw in the finished product. My manuals were also badly folded on themselves inside the box and the loose antenna rod was quite bent, and even straightening it with my fingers for 20 minutes didn’t get it all that perfect. I would have thought that when a highly anticipated product sells out on the first day and we have to wait 6 weeks of checking the website every day to even be able to order one again, that the quality control would be on point and not rushed like it seems was the case for a number of people here. 2. I think there could have been a bit clearer of an instruction on the tv base. Since I’ve done the Ideas Treehouse, I’ve faced the no-stud-clip method before. But other than lack of clarity, I see no real reason to down rate for it, so hopefully this review helps a few people. If you struggle with the tv stand, turn it upside down to get a better look. There’s no studs, but there’s still a trademark “snap” when you get it right. I’d lastly like to give some advice for bags 17-19: if you need an efficient way to straighten your 1x1 tile decorations, my best method was to place all the 2x16s on a flat surface (Technic bits removed) and sandwich them between two long bricks. It’s not perfect, but it’s much nicer for your fingers than fiddling with single 1x1 tiles. Pro tip: wait til you’ve done both layers of decoration, i.e. bag 19, to save triple handling. All being said and done this was a fantastically entertaining build, and I would like to give my sincerest thanks to the designers, the LEGO team, and most of all Nintendo for allowing this all to be possible. I was even thankful for the Zelda and Metroid teasers in the front of the manual. ;) I will be even more thankful when we can buy new screens, second controllers, and extra game paks and stickers form that extra authentic look & feel. ;) ;) hint hint.Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty4.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 7 hrsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?45Nintendo Entertainment System™
- January 22nd, 2022Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Two Amazing Set in One!I would recommend this to a friend! This was the very first set I had gotten in years. Almost two decades to be exact. I never had a chance to really get into Lego as a kid. Now being older, I can afford these myself and put together on my own time. Thank you Lego for thinking of us older Lego fans! I've been keeping an eye out for additional adult sets about as complex and eye-catching as this one. This one here I had actually gotten as a gift, and it was an excellent one too! While I didn't come around until the mid-90's and get serious into gaming until the early to mid-2000's, I still grew to appreciate retro consoles as I grew older. The NES is way up there on my list. A very fun machine with so many titles worth playing. This set here is basically two sets in one. Each more fun to build than the other. Both have a lot of variety and mechanical parts to build to keep things interesting. The TV set and NES cartridge holder both worked flawlessly. Love how the controller plugs into the NES and is the same size as the original NES controller when putting the two side by side. I'd love to show a comparison photo, but with the 5 photo limit, I'd rather focus on the product itself. Overall, an excellent build with essentially two builds in one! Highly recommended for any retro gaming fan! Would love to see similar console sets for other retro consoles. SEGA Genesis or Sony PlayStation 1 anybody? While doubtful, it'd be interesting to see those in Lego form.Play Experience5.0Value for Money5.0Was this helpful?55Nintendo Entertainment System™
