About LEGO® Architecture

Did you know we first designed LEGO® sets for architects in the early 1960s? Those sets were part of our “Scale Model” line and introduced plates for the first time!

LEGO® Architecture as it is now launched in 2008. Adam Reed Tucker, an architect and LEGO® fan, worked with the LEGO Group to create the new range. The first sets released were skyscrapers that were inspired by the skyline of Adam’s hometown – Chicago, USA. The theme has since expanded to feature scaled models of iconic structures from all over the world, including modern buildings like the Burj Khalifa and historic ones such as Buckingham Palace.

Architecture sets often use muted colours and small LEGO® parts to create sleek and sophisticated models. Even though they’re made of similar pieces, the finished models look very different from brightly-coulored LEGO® sets in other themes.

LEGO® Architecture sets can be bought on our website and anywhere you can find LEGO® sets. If you’re travelling somewhere new, why not visit one of our LEGO® Stores? You can often find unique Architecture sets that represent famous buildings nearby.
