- January 3rd, 2019Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Great LEGO to crash!I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SonI was hesitant to purchase this set because it seemed so simple and we have tons of other Star Wars sets. However, I overlooked the fact that the simplicity leads to better playability. My 4-year-old son loves to build Legos and builds more complicated ones, but he loves this one. He can crash the TIE fighter and break it without us yelling at him. It is so simple to rebuild that he is back flying in no time. As a collector, I like that the rebel pilot is different than previous ones and I like the printed Death Star piece.Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money4.0Was this helpful?55TIE Fighter™ Attack
- January 12th, 2019Average rating5out of 5 stars5.0Tie Fighter Attack!Cachamoe |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: SelfThis set is really nice and I think it will be one of the most underrated sets from this wave. It isn't officially a Juniors set, but it basically is one with the large specialized pieces, printed parts, and "easy start" build design. The main build is the Tie Fighter and for it's size and scale, it looks very nice and is really playable. It is great to get a nice representation of this iconic ship without having to pay a lot. The smaller build is a cool complementary build and has 2 great printed pieces and playability for the rebel trooper. The minifigures are also great. You get an updated Rebel Fleet Trooper, which has nice simple prints on the torso and a double sided head with 2 expressions. (He is currently exclusive to this set) The other is the Tie Fighter Pilot, which is obviously appropriate for the vehicle itself. Both minifigs also get guns, which can both be stored behind a panel on the back of the Tie Fighter itself. I honestly love this set and think that everything about it is pretty well executed, especially for the $20 (US) price. It reminds me of the 2001-2005 Tie Fighter design. My only complaint is the lack of a computer console for the fighter. All in all, I recommend this set for anyone!Play Experience5.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money5.0Build Time: 20 minsBuilding Experience: Advanced LEGO builderWas this helpful?55TIE Fighter™ Attack
- March 15th, 2019Average rating3out of 5 stars3.0mMoe |Overly easy, I expected something more complex and intricate from Lego. I understand that Star Wars is starting to gear towards a new audience, in an attempt to brighten it's future, but I just was looking for more.20 March 2019Emily, Customer ServiceThanks for your review. We're sorry to hear this set wasn't the right fit. For stories with as wide appeal as Star Wars, we always like to have a little something for everyone in the theme. That means you'll find sets like this one - designed to be a perfect start for beginning builders ages 4 and up. And you'll also find Ultimate Collector's Series sets, which are some of our most complex builds aimed at ages 16 and up. While a lot goes in to determining a suggested age range, how challenging a build is will always be a major factor. If you're looking for more complicated sets, check out the recommended age range on the front of the box or listed in the product description. The higher the age range, the more intricate a set is more likely to be. And if you need a hand choosing just the right set for you, you can always get in touch with our brick experts at LEGO.com/Service. They'd be happy to help!Play Experience4.0Level of Difficulty1.0Value for Money2.0Was this helpful?35TIE Fighter™ Attack
- January 8th, 2020Average rating4out of 5 stars4.0I liked the microfighters betterCalu |I would recommend this to a friend!Purchased for: FriendI bought this set to to have a cozy star wars lego day. I have the Tie fighter microfighter and I found that was a lot more fun to build and have more hinges and things to play with, tho the age recommendation of the microfighter model is 8-12 rather than 4+ of this set. I love the death star model piece tho. It's not a sticker which makes me very happy. Nice for a child, maybe not so nice for picky adults ;)
