“Om nom nom nom.” Have you ever met a semi-intelligent ambulatory plant? One very alarmed Minifigure recently has! The Plant Monster used to be the Monster Scientist’s houseplant until the silly mad doctor accidentally gave it too much of his experimental super-growth fertilizer, causing the horticultural horror to sprout arms, legs, spiky vines, and one huge appetite. Lurking in gardens, bushes, and anywhere else that’s green, the Plant Monster bides its time and then springs out to swallow up passers-by with a gulp and a happy smack of its leafy flytrap mouth. Oddly, it isn’t actually a carnivorous species (though it doesn’t seem to know that), and as long as it gets plenty of sunlight and regular watering, it just spits its victims out again after a day or two – smelling slightly of lettuce, and with a very strange story to tell!
Ariel is a smart, independent and clever young mermaid with a beautiful singing voice, but she is also a daydreamer. She longs to visit the land above the surface of the ocean someday, even keeping a secret collection of mysterious objects from the human world. Her curiosity sometimes gets her into trouble with her father, King Triton, but it also leads her to great adventures both under and over the sea!
“I’m really building up in the world!” Selfies? Apps? Emojis? This guy’s never even heard of them. Zooming straight out of the Eighties and into your heart, the Yuppie is the very model of a young urban professional on the rise. He likes his suits white and his shirts eye-searingly bright, and of course he wears his sunglasses both in the daytime and at night. The Yuppie has a great job with lots of room for advancement, and he’ll be sure to tell you all about it over a long steak-and-lobster lunch meeting or a friendly game of miniature golf (as a Minifigure, he’s a little too short for the full-sized kind). Need to reach him? No problem! Just give him a buzz on his pager and he’ll call you right back on his expensive new mobile phone. It’s the latest thing, with a big antenna and buttons instead of one of those clunky old-fashioned dials!
“Boo! Boo who? Boo ME!” The Frightening Knight is very, very scary. No one is quite certain just what makes him so scary. Maybe it’s his gravelly, growly voice. Maybe it’s his scowling expression, or his intimidating armor and helmet, or his spiky morning star weapon, or the angry-looking bear on his shield. Or maybe he just smells scary somehow. Being frightening isn’t just the Frightening Knight’s name – it’s also his great passion in life. If he doesn’t leave everybody who sees him shaking in their boots, then he feels like he hasn’t done his job right. All the bad guys agree that he’s pretty much the scariest Minifigure around. Even the legendary Fright Knights kicked him out for being just too scary. He could probably be a little less scary if he tried…but why would he ever want that?
“I’m the best of both worlds.” With her body enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, the Cyborg is equally proud of both sides of herself. Her human half provides her with creativity, imagination and flexible thought, while her robotic half grants her extra senses, super-fast reflexes and expanded computational power. When the two are working together, there’s almost no situation that she can’t solve. The Cyborg has a reputation as an expert troubleshooter – point her in the direction of trouble, and if she can’t think, build or cyber-hack a solution, then her duo-fusion blaster can shoot her way out. Don’t try to take her on single-handedly, because this cool-headed cybernetic operative is double the threat of most Minifigures!
LEGO Brick Suit Guy
“LEGO® bricks rock!” The LEGO Brick Suit Guy’s favorite thing to do is put together LEGO sets. He really enjoys following the instructions step by step and watching a pile of pieces turn into an assembled model one brick at a time. Here at the party, he’s in charge of the speed-building challenge, where everybody races to build the same model the fastest. It might take a while for someone to win, though – when you’re the size of a minifigure, LEGO bricks are HUGE. Just look at the LEGO Brick Suit Guy’s costume and you’ll see!
Toughened by the relentless attacks on Apocalypseburg from the DUPLO invaders, Lucy spends most of her time ‘brooding’ on the surveillance point at the top of the Statue of Liberty’s torch while she keeps a look-out for any incoming threats.
The Mime™ was originally Camilla Ortin, the wealthy and spoiled daughter of a celebrated fireworks maker. Hating the loud noises of her childhood, she devoted herself to silence – and super-villainy. As The Mime, she uses her martial arts skills and 10,000-volt electrified gloves to commit performance-art crimes against anything loud, all while never speaking a word!
Hip hip hooray! Here on his very first vacation trip, Robin™ has a brand-new Super Hero dad, a brand-new Bat-family to call his own, and even a brand-new ice cream cone full of scoops of tasty frozen goodness. He’s going to treasure all three of them forever and ever and ever…whoops, ice cream melts, doesn’t it? Better eat fast, Boy Wonder!
“I’ve never seen one finer than this! I rate it a 6 out of 10.” The ever-critical Connoisseur is the world’s greatest master of good taste. His vast knowledge extends to fashion, architecture, cuisine, and which colors go well with which other colors (black and white with a hint of red are the best, of course). All of the most successful artists, designers and interior directors go to him for advice and opinions, and he is more than happy to share his personal appraisals of their work. The Connoisseur may be hard to please, but if he likes what you’ve done, then you can be sure that you’ll have a lifelong fan – that’s why he’ll only eat baguettes freshly baked by the Gourmet Chef. Want to know the secret to a positive review? Make something that will impress his beloved French bulldog. Try showing them your latest custom LEGO® brick creation and see what they have to say!
He’s here to grant your wish…for dance! To become the world’s greatest Super Hero, Batman™ had to train to master every skill. EVERY skill. He’s not just the best at martial arts and building brick inventions, but at ballet dancing too. In fact, the Dark Knight has found that all of that ballet practice has really improved his balance, coordination and leg strength – all useful skills for fighting crime!
Dragon Suit Guy
“Rarr! I’m bringing the HEAT to this party!” The Dragon Suit Guy loves to make things hot. He’s the guy who always brings a pot of extra-spicy chili, gives out bottles of hot sauce as presents, and puts jalapeños on everything. EVERYTHING. With a diet like that, you’d think the Dragon Suit Guy might be pretty hot-tempered, but he’s actually one of the nicest minifigures around. Not everybody may share his taste for heat, but that’s okay…if he gets to eat all of the hot stuff himself, one of these days he might even breathe fire! Or at least burp it.
What could be more exciting for an average kid than getting adopted by a super-cool, super-rich Super Hero like Batman™? Dick Grayson™ can hardly wait to explore the Batcave. It’s full of amazing souvenirs from Batman’s past adventures, like the can of Shark Repellent Bat Spray that his hero has given him! Now, where can he find a shark?
