Controlling Trains with the LEGO® Power Functions IR Speed Remote Control

The LEGO® Power Functions Speed remote control lets you control the exact speed your train is soaring down the tracks. You can even make it go backwards just by spinning the dial the other way.

The remote lets you control up to eight trains at the same time. The dial that’s marked with the red stripe controls the motor that’s plugged into the red socket of your receiver. The blue marked dial controls the output of the blue marked plug. Selecting another channel and controlling two more Power Functions is as simple as moving the orange switch.
