Nothing is more uplifting than seeing a child playing. Happy, engaged, and creative; it’s exactly how childhood should look.
But in the past 12 months, the Syrian humanitarian crisis has provided some of the most distressing pictures of children the world has seen. Pictures that show children deprived of the fundamentals; their safety, family, friends, routine, and playtime. We at the LEGO Group, the LEGO Foundation, and UNICEF have joined forces as “Partners In Play” to help create a brighter life for children affected by the conflict. And we’d like you to join us.
Having joined forces in 2015, the LEGO Group, the LEGO Foundation, and UNICEF built on their collaboration to become Partners In Play in 2016.
It’s a natural union for three groups committed to giving children the best possible start in life.
Play may look fun, but it’s actually incredibly significant for a child’s development and learning.
So much so, that the importance of play in childhood cannot be underestimated.
Our free LEGO DUPLO activity pack has lots of ideas for you and your little one to try together.
From building challenges to coloring pages, each activity helps support your child’s development in a fun way that they will enjoy.
The pack is inspired by the early childhood development sets that The LEGO Foundation and UNICEF provide for vulnerable children all around the world.
The LEGO Foundation is dedicated to building a future in which learning through play empowers children to become creative and engaged lifelong learners.
Believing that sustainable change happens when you transform attitudes and behaviors across society, the LEGO Foundation works with parents, carers, schools, institutions, and governments all around the world.
It’s truly amazing what the imagination is capable of. In 2015, LEGO® DUPLO® fans used theirs to help the LEGO Group, the LEGO Foundation, and UNICEF unlock the power of play for underprivileged children in South Africa.
All by building a tower.
