Join our team for building simple efficient IT solutions to increase the effectiveness of trade promotions in the LEGO Group. We are creating an internal tool that unify and streamlines the work of our key account manager when they plan upcoming promotions.

As part of the team, you will be building upon this platform, so we can provide better insight into our trade investments and give important data to our demand planning supply line that makes sure we produce the right products at the right time.

Core Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Engineer in our team, you will help us deliver high quality, working software on a continuous basis.

We are a team of software engineers that values strong collaboration, technical excellence and improving our codebase. We work in an agile fashion where we reevaluate and improve our tools and processes constantly. We are always appreciating new ideas and input.

Our product exists in a complicated domain, tying different important processes within the LEGO Group together. As a senior engineer you will help us guide technical decisions to turn this into a simple coherent solution for our users.

You will need to have experience with web-based API´s either as RESTful services or using GraphQL. You will also need to know about web-based frontends and the interactions between frontend and backend.

Having a good understanding of the foundations the internet is built on and a healthy interest in enterprise integration patterns will be seen as a big advantage.

You will join an agile product team of software engineers.

We support The LEGO Group with cloud-based services, websites, and integrations. The purpose is to increase the transparency into our trade promotions that is running in all markets we have in the LEGO Group.

The main technologies we work with are AWS (Amazon Web Services) lambdas, Postgres, Typescript with React and Nodejs. Our services are hosted in AWS and utilize cloud services. We deploy software to production several times a week. We improve our performance by using the DORA metrics and trying out new ways of working.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Passion for software development
  • Experience with web-based development
  • Wants to work with both frontend and backend development
  • Experience with CI/CD

Furthermore, you can debug failures in applications and understand the full picture of a web-based application stack

Core Responsibilities
• Design, build and/or configure end-to-end applications through close collaboration with other product team members ​
• Engineer products to the highest standards of security and data privacy by implementing and following LEGO Group security and data privacy principles from ideation to production release and beyond.​
• Engineer products that implement business logic, modern design patterns and architectural principles​
• Engineer products that follow highest coding standards e.g., documentation and efficiency​
• Ensure product robustness and reliability by writing and executing unit and integration tests​
• Improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks​
• Build efficient and optimal solutions by challenging ideas/opinions ​
• Suggest and define future stories to support the Product Owner​
