Core Responsibilities

This position will play a vital role in the Product Master Data Life Cycle Management system being the LEGO Product Master Data foundation enabling all LEGO business processes from Innovation -> Supply Chain -> Distribution -> Consumer Services, the full lifecycle.

In Product Development Technology we develop and support these systems and you can be part of a very exciting transformation as we embark on shaping the next generation of product master data lifecycle management applications that will help us grow into the future of physical and digital products.

  • Engage with Product Management and understand end-users to create the best business value
  • Promote collaboration with your teammates improving SAP ABAP development practices
  • Help shape and implement our future architecture supporting the LEGO Product Master data capabilities needed by our LEGO Product Development organization.
  • Create technology based on Continuous Integration/Deployment/Release methodologies
  • Actively maintain and develop our data model
  • Participating in crafting clear boundaries between Enterprise Systems (SAP and more), based on Domain Driven Design practices.
  • Key driver behind establishing processes, practices, and habits in our IT product team

Must have qualifications

  • Professional experience in software development and very good knowledge of ABAP/ABAP-OO development mandatory
  • Knowledge of SAP improvements technologies including classical enhancements BADIs, User Exits, BTE and new Enhancement framework
  • R/3 experience
  • Experience in interface technologies (Webservice, REST, BOR, OData)
  • Experience with Data Dictionary and Core Data Service (CDS) views
  • Experience with designing, documenting and implementation of distributed systems, event-driven architecture patterns
  • Good understanding of business processes
  • You have a curios and constant learning approach.
  • You are an open teammate, providing candid feedback upwards and to colleagues.

Nice to have qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience with cloud solutions
  • S/4 HANA experience desired, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
  • Knowledge about interface technologies (BAPI, Proxy mandatory, BOR (Business Objects))
  • Master data Management (MM) experience
  • Test-automation and especially Unit-test experience
  • Experience with running SAP in the Cloud (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience with SAP UI5
