We are looking for new talent that wants to be part of our team where we create and maintain our digital design system "Klik" used across our digital product portfolio within the LEGO Group!

Core Responsibilities

Bring your outstanding web development skills to the table and help us develop our design system foundation and component library!

• Define, develop, and maintain reusable web-components and framework wrappers e.g., React, Vue, Angular.
• Collaborate closely with design system team members, designers, and fellow engineers, to ensure components are implemented successfully.
• Support users of the design system and component library through multiple forms of communication.
• Actively engage and collaborate with the design community to ensure a consistent and cohesive experience across digital products.
• Promote and evolve the inner-source initiative around our design system.

Our team is anchored in the heart of our Digital Technology organization, and we are responsible for developing reusable and accessible components that make up the foundation for many of our applications.

Do you have what it takes?

You will most likely have a relevant background from Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering combined with relevant working experience. You can be straight out of school or with a few years of experience.

What you already might have in your toolbox.

• Good understanding of foundational web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
• Experience with Typescript.
• Analytical and critical thinking and capable of both giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Cares about tabs vs spaces.
• Has experience collaborating with other coders around code reviews and pull requests.
• Experience with contributing to open-source or inner-source.
• Experience with CI/CD in tools like GitHub actions.
• Understands browser accessibility features.
• Passion for new web-technologies like web-components and custom CSS properties.

Proficiency in English, written and oral, is required.
