As engineering lead, you will be the people leader of 10-12 highly competent software engineers working in full feature product teams. In collaboration with business partners and product managers, you will set a direction for products such as the digital element & model designer, and the build step designer & building experience designer - all key products with high value for our product designers and foundation in key digital consumer experiences.

• Recruiting the right engineering talent and supporting their continued development through mentoring and coaching.
• Lead, Mentor & Coach software engineers and software development & architecture.
• Setting the technical direction within your capability area and ensuring its adoption in your engineering team and with key partners.
• Supporting a product culture mentality and value-driven development.
• Crafting a structure for and secure execution of knowledge sharing and community-driven interest groups.
• Strengthen Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.

Product Development Technology is part of the Consumer and Content Technology organization within Digital Technology, responsible for creating digital products within digital asset management & creation, digital element design, digital building experience, and workflow management.

You are encouraged to act as an enabler of a collaborative environment with multiple empowered product teams, ensuring focus and progress towards agreed outcomes by enabling teams to release their full potential. This role also takes part of the newly established leadership team, and thus supports crafting both the Leadership team and the culture of the department.

Do you have what it takes?

• A degree in software engineering, computer science, or an IT focused commercial degree. Alternatively, proven experience from a similar position.
• 4+ years of experience from a digital engineering position.
• Significant experience working with software product development as a product owner, tech lead or similar.
• 3+ years working as people lead or engineering manager.
• Good understanding of agile methodologies and experience working with or on agile development teams.
• Superb leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder leadership skills
• Strong curiosity about developing and inspiring others.

It would be excellent if you also have:
• Experience in building modern cross-platform desktop applications using C++ or similar modern, object-oriented programming languages.
• Background in 3D programming and rendering frameworks and platforms such as OpenGL and Unreal Engine.
• Background in software architecture and experience in domain-driven design.
• Experience with test-driven development.
