To accelerate the rate of innovation, we are building a curated Kubernetes platform to help our engineers to embrace containerization smoothly and ensure developer efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Join our most outstanding cloud engineering team and help us accelerate our cloud experience, so we can reach even more kids with a digital experience.

The platform spans multiple premises and runs some of our more critical workloads. We are seeing growth of the container platform and are looking to shift gears to deliver the best Kubernetes' experience for our brave engineering colleagues.

• Maintain and operate the large-scale Kubernetes platform (handling cluster lifecycle both on Cloud and on premises).
• Solve and resolve sophisticated platform-related technical incidents and problems, process ed-users’ service requests.
• Supervise system events to ensure health, maximum system availability and service quality. Perform system patching activities. Maintain documentation.
• Develop tools for automated build, test, deployment, and management of the platform.
• Implement and improve supervising and alerting, an auto-scaling solutions for the Kubernetes nodes.
• Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design, and standards.
• Participate in R&D effort bringing new ideas and new technologies.

Cloud Transformation is a key priority and an enabler of the digital success of the LEGO Group. The team is centrally placed to provide foundational services for all the group and supports hundreds of teams today.

The team provides a series of core capabilities that enables engineers to be successful in cloud and our DevSecOps experience as well as give mentorship and guardrails for how we build the next generation of digital LEGO services in Cloud.
The team is based at the brand-new LEGO Campus in Billund, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for candidates that holds a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or a Cloud Computing Certification (AWS, Azure or GCP). Experience in building, managing, and fixing Kubernetes platform as well as clusters i.e., EKS, AKS, on prem. And we will like you to have proficient with CI/CD technologies such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform or similar solutions. Hand on experience developing scalable architectures using API management, Microservice frameworks, container orchestration and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), or other applicable platforms. Experience in agile ways of working is expected.

Maybe your technology toolbox contains some of these: Go, Java, C#, Serverless, Microservices, Amazon Web Services, API experience.

To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
• Shown eagerness to continuous learning through your previous experiences.
• Flourish with both experimentations and the long haul.
• Dedication to deliver quality code.
• Shown problem-solving skills.

Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
