“Put your analysis skills to work for the builders of tomorrow ”

As a student worker, you will be part of the Computer Aided Engineering department, which provides simulation support to the engineering development of the LEGO Group.

Play your part in our team succeeding:

This includes analysis of injection moulding processes as well as analysis of the mechanical performance of both bricks and moulds. It is our goal to support the design of robust and efficient solutions in a cost-efficient manner based on digital prototypes.

Core responsibilities:

We are looking for a student worker to help us out about 2 days per week starting January 2022. Your main tasks will be to,

• perform flow simulations of injection moulding process in support of the design and manufacturing of our products.
• interpret simulation results in order to assess the risk of critical quality flaws.
• Communicate abovementioned analysis to internal stakeholders and provide
follow-up sparring on how to overcome any design or process issues identified.
• Ensure that deliverables are of consistent quality based on CAE best practices

Do you have what it takes?

You are currently pursuing a university degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Physics, or Design – you have at least one full year left until graduation.
You are proactive with a team player mentality, and get energy from both being helped by and helping others. Your communication skills (oral and written) are strong, and you are able to manage own time to deliver on multiple simultaneous tasks.

You have a good understanding of fluid and/or structural mechanics, and at the same time you are curious, motivated, and able to learn new skills. Perhaps you already have some hands-on experience with CAD and/or numerical modelling ( e.g. CFD or FEM) and (like us) are fascinated by what this enables. Don’t worry, we will train you to use the specific tools.

Children are our role models. Their curiosity, creativity and imagination inspire everything we do. We strive to create a diverse, dynamic and inclusive culture of play at the LEGO Group, where everyone feels safe, valued and they belong.
