Are you an experienced with Software as a Service solutions, modern API-driven integration patterns and architecture in general?Are you able to inspire engineers through collaboration so we all together can work towards fulfilling our promise to inspire and develop our LEGO colleagues around the world?
Core ResponsibilitiesYou will have a huge impact and take on an important role, as you will drive integration of our many applications using modern APIs. You help defining architecture, and set standards and guard rails for the engineering organization e.g. around Tech-stack, Structures and role concepts such as segregation of duties across domains to prevent fraud. All of this based on industry best practices of Security, Data Interchange and Data Management. You will join the Corporate Products and Services Domain, where we service our internal functions such as HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, CSR and others, and here you will be the main driver of:
• Defining the strategy and implementing automated testing in our domain
• In collaboration with our other Principal Engineers, define a general strategy for integrating applications in and out of the domain. Furthermore, based on this strategy you will implement the streamline approach to APIs in the domain and influence the cross domain approach
• Based on your previous experience in implementing and maintaining SaaS and off-the-shelf solutions, you will role when inspire, lead and motivate teams of likeminded engineers to build outstanding solutions for our internal customers and colleagues
• Continuously extend your technical knowledge, even outside your domain of expertise, and critically impact the wider platform architecture powering the LEGO Group
• Mentor and showcase great team player skills whilst working with geographically distributed teams seamlessly.

You will be connected to our HQ in Billund, Denmark, but there is an option to work out of our office in Copenhagen a fair amount of the days.
You are a strong communicator who knows how to tweak your message to your audience, whether it be our Board of Directors, Enterprise Architects, Product owners or Engineering colleagues at various levels ensuring that we are able to innovate our products without the everyday bottlenecks.

Do you have what it takes?You see solutions, not problems. You are a native API builder, with a strategic mindset, with strong communication and collaboration skills, who can work with all types of expertise in the organization. You have a long background in IT Development (+10 years) and are well rooted in numerous coding languages. You are strong within both IaaS, PaaS & SaaS and have proven transformations in your career.
You are a strong collaborator and tech expert that inspire people to follow you and loves to learn and expand your horizon both within personal and technical areas. Based on this you must be able to prioritize your efforts based on value and ensure that product architectures are always on the right path.
