Do you stand out from the crowd as a champion within Omnichannel orchestration who others look to for mentoring within software architecture & engineering ?We’re embarking on a game changing journey to build state of the art Omnichannel orchestration capabilities.
This is a once in a lifetime chance to be at the heart of our strategy, overseeing end-to-end architecture as a basis to create an awesome experience for digital shoppers.
Core ResponsibilitiesYou will be leading our Omnichannel orchestration journey where you will have defining impact to take our shopper experience to a whole new level. This means that you will formulate and oversee development of digital solutions that orchestrate the entire Omnichannel eco-system.
There will be many exciting things for you to work with, but the core will be three pillars:
1. Architect our new digital platform as a hybrid model – where you determine what to build, what to buy and ultimately ensure that we have the right Omnichannel orchestration components and architecture
2. Coach engineers in product teams – to start building our new Omnichannel orchestration and deliver value already in 2021
3. Oversee that legacy systems and services are retired – to bring us into the age of modern API driven digital solutions
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be part of a newly established community of technical champions at the LEGO Group, who will lead our high-priority strategic objectives, formulate roadmaps and drive the technical impact needed to enable our product teams to succeed.
Play your part in our team succeedingYou’ll be part of Omnichannel, Manufacturing & Product Engineering Technologies, where you will meet a group of diverse tech champions who are very passionate about what they do. We believe in hiring for a career in diverse teams as we believe this brings the different perspectives that help us efficiently solve the toughest challenges.
Joining our technology family means being part of something big and meaningful because we are the technology enablers that ensures we get playful experiences produced and delivered to children and adults around the world. Work life balance and flexibility are embedded within culture which is also centred around great collaboration, flat hierarchies, annual hikes and it’s just a great atmosphere to be part of.
Do you have what it takes? You have solid experience from a retail company where you have already taken an instrumental part in building an Omnichannel orchestration ecosystem. This allows you to identify what needs to be done to create an amazing shopper experience for the digital consumer.
To succeed in this role, you love:
• Exploring new ideas and solving technical challenges and are not fixed on technology but love learning and adopt the best approach to solving the challenge at hand.
• Empowering and coaching others.
• Communicating and coding because you seek to build awesome digital products and convincing your peers and partners of the right approach.
• Being at the heart of strategy and you are skilled in change management, open to new approaches, patient with people and you have excellent interpersonal skills.
We envision you have an Engineering or Computer Scientist background but if you are self-taught and have a lot of cool experience, then show us what you can do.
What makes you awesome is that when you speak, people listen and trust your expert opinion. People look up to you and seek to become as skilled as you are. You inspire people to follow you, not by dictating or controlling but due to your skill in your craft.
