Who are we?

Business Technology – Infrastructure and Security department is a part of the global LEGO IT organization which consists of more than 500 employees and 50 ambitious IT students around the world. There are 15 awesome teams and approximately 20 student workers in our department who are a key part of developing, optimizing and automizing both functionality and security of critical IT systems which are crucial for production, logistics and sales, hence making sure that the LEGO Group can provide a fantastic Play Experience for kids around the globe.

We work with Python, React, Functional Programming, C#, JavaScript, node.js, PowerShell, Azure and AWS only to mention a few. And don’t worry, you don’t need to know all of these languages/technologies, @LEGO you will get the space and time to learn new stuff and explore.

Our global mission is to “inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow” and we want you to develop along the way through training, coaching, experiments and feedback. With us, you will not get stuck within only one technology but get introduced to a range of technologies and programming languages based on your talents and interests. Furthermore, you will work with about 100 professionals with whom you can discuss ideas, solutions, and technologies.

Did we mention we also like to have fun and collaborate to get better? We work in an agile way, in small teams with a high degree of freedom and we share our knowledge with each other on an ongoing basis. Our work environment could be described as informal regarding collaboration, communication style, and humor. We eat well and coffee is good. We love playing with our LEGO products, which you will see from the moment you enter our office space.

About You

We expect you to be curious and passionate about technology and its potential to make an impact. We are looking for students enrolled in Computer Science and similar IT-oriented programs in Denmark, who enjoy working in an autonomous and collaborative team. Together with the team, we expect you to challenge standards and take ownership of the problems that you and the team are looking to solve. As a teammate it is important that you are a natural and creative problem solver who enjoys coming up with innovative solutions while learning along the way.

Regarding the work days, we expect you to work about 10-15 hours a week. We fully respect that you are dedicated to your studies, thus, your working hours will be adapted to this and you may also use the LEGO Group as a case for one of your papers.
