Expansion in Kladno on schedule
The Kladno plant in the Czech Republic is currently being expanded. Right now they are working on a 16-meter high centre building which consist of a warehouse and a three-storage welfare building for the employees with a cantina and locker rooms.
'Expanding our plant is progressing as planned. We will expand the plant with 22.600 square meters. Right now the craftsmen are working on the new warehouse which also will function as the new cantina and will be equipped with a lot of locker rooms for the employees,' says production manager Karel Kleinmond.
The expansion in Kladno should be done by mid October, and by then the factory will be equipped with three new production halls with a total of 9.000 square meters. Moreover, the model builders in Kladno get a lot more room to do their job: the model building department will be expanded by 1.800 square meters to 3.100 square meters.
The new warehouse should be complete around September 1st, and the new cantina is likely to be ready for use in mid September.
The administration in Kladno will also get plenty more room when the old cantina is removed, allowing the rooms to become part of the new administration department.
