Question : What did the first LEGO bricks look like?
Answered by : Allen Demers, LEGO Model Designer

The first LEGO bricks made were 2x4 bricks. After a few years, the design was changed to make them connect better, and those are the bricks made today.

Question : Is it possible to make a tower over 3 metres high without it falling over?
Answered by : Allen Demers, LEGO Model Designer

Anything is possible! However, the base of your tower will have to be wide enough to support the tower's height. Tall buildings are usually built into the ground on a foundation for stability, but we do not normally use foundations with LEGO creations. Using a wider base is your next best option. Another way to support your tower is to build a frame inside of it; just remember to attach the frame to the base.

Question : How can I make a roof for my LEGO house?
Answered by : Allen Demers, LEGO Model Designer

If you are trying to build a large flat-style roof, you can try to make a one-brick high panel out of sandwiched plates. Interlock three layers of plates to make a light and strong flat roof. Otherwise, to build a typical roof, you can use the standard LEGO roof bricks.
